Puy du Fou is a French theme park that is all about history. They recreate several time periods with big shows and spectacles. We created a fun product to be sold in their gift shop: a book which allows kids to be creative and recreate the different costumes they have seen throughout their visit or to come up with their own creation.
It is a luxurious book with many different elements. There are rings which allow you to detach the plastic stencils. There are some colored examples of women in different dresses to inspire kids, and pages with fabric printed on them. They can use the plastic stencil to cut out the different dresses and paste them onto the models. Kids will feel like they are fashion designers, and at the same time, they learn more about historical costumes!
For Pairi Daiza, we created an entire collection of books to be sold in their gift shop. All titles were personalized for them with their logo and/or drawings of their park. We selected the titles in such a way that there would be something for people of every age. For their youngest guests, there was a cardboard book with a little plush elephant in it in which you can stick your finger to make it move. This way the story really comes to life for little kids when reading it to them.
For older kids, we created various other titles. First of all, coloring books for which we drew all kinds of animals that can be found in Pairi Daiza. There were also books with stencils of animals, allowing kids to really get creative and draw their own scenes with animals in the provided décor. Furthermore, we created educational “Animal Quiz” books in which children learn everything about animals with the help of fun questions. Another concept consisted of a “dot to dot” book where children have to connect the dots in order to draw different animals. Lastly, we didn’t forget the adults: we also offered coloring books for adults based on the décor of Pairi Daiza.
Europa Park is a theme park in Southern Germany with areas based on different European countries and cultures, creating a holiday atmosphere. But why should the experience stop when people leave the park at the end of the day? Europa Park wanted to offer a book that would allow guests to continue in this international spirit, and learn more about Europe at the same time.
We created a fun and educational atlas to take readers on a journey through Europe. Together with the Park’s mascot, Ed Euromaus, children learn about different cultures, flags, geographical features, etc. All the information is presented in an attractive and fun way, with lots of stickers, pictures, drawings, and a big map in the center of the book on which they can stick the flags of each country. Without even realizing it, children will read and learn a wealth of information. At the same time, it is an indispensable marketing tool for Europa Park, extending guests’ visit long after they left the park and tempting them to come back another time.
